Aged Care | Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)

Entry level home care subsidised by the Australian Government

The Australian Government subsidises a range of aged care services in Australia through a mixture of programs. The Commonwealth Home Support Programme is just one of those programs, designed to help you stay at home for longer with support from home care providers.

Are you eligible?

The Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) is an entry-level program, open to seniors over 65 years of age, or over 50 years for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders, who need:

  • Low-level support, such as showering a few times a week or fortnightly housework, on a short term or ongoing basis
  • High-level support for a short time, such as nursing care while recovering from surgery or because your regular carer is sick

If your needs are more complex or you need ongoing care, you might be eligible for a Home Care Package.

Services

There are a wide range of services available and the Nhulundu team is very experienced at packaging up just the right services for your needs. This means you don’t get things you don’t need and get more of the things you do need, ensuring life at home is fulfilling and you feel connected to the community.

These CHSP services include but are not limited to the following and can be supplied in a way that is just right for you. It is our goal to work with you to maximise your well being so you enjoy your time at home whilst remaining connected to the community, friends and family by providing:
